Building Bridges Across The Globe

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

It doesn't take a special title or even another country to live as a missionary. In fact, we are "sent ones" into the neighborhoods and networks God has given us. Each of us is called to be an ambassador, carrying the message of Jesus's reconciliation everywhere we go (2 Corinthians 5:11-21). 

There are some of our brothers and sisters who are dedicating their lives to a specific work or group of people. While we've typically called them "missionaries", they are simply fellow Christians who are trying, like we are, to be faithful with the passion Holy Spirit has given them. Please take a look at these people and their bios below.

In these cases, our prayer and financial support enables them to do this more effectively! It's what we call our Missions Faith Promise. We invite you to get before God and ask him how he would have you support the work of our brothers and sisters below.  Some like to give weekly or monthly, while others expect God to provide in unusual ways! However you feel is best, thank you for your prayerful and joy-filled giving.

The Englands \\ Croatia

Chris and Wendy have been serving as long-term missionaries in Split, Croatia since 2005. Their primary ministry focus has been on helping develop the young, local Wesleyan Church through preaching, discipleship, mentoring, teaching, and service. Additionally, they minister in personal evangelism in the community, including humanitarian efforts, English camps, and sports evangelism. They continue church planting efforts in a community outside of Split. Chris also serves the local ministry team as the team leader and Wendy serves Global Partners as a cross-cultural educational consultant in Europe & the Turkic-Arabic area. 

Colossians 1:28-29 (NIV) expresses the Englands’ call to ministry and compels them to share Christ’s transforming power with the Croatian people, connect them with other Christian believers, equip them to grow in their walk with Christ, and challenge them to discover His call to ministry.
